PEBEO Marbling Paint
PEBEO Marbling paint is used according to a technique inspired by the rice paper stippling that was practised in Japan in the 11th century (sumi nagashi) and later adopted in Europe by 19th century bookbinders.
It involves transferring colours by simple contact between the object to be decorated and a coloured surface. This technique requires patience, attention and a little practice.
It can be applied on all light surfaces: canvas, paper, cardboard, recycled paper, wood, plaster... On canvas, it is necessary to fix the colours with an iron after drying.
The thickening bath can be used for several successive creations. However, it is best to use a small quantity of thickening bath and to change it often.
