Join the 2nd International Watercolor Festival in Córdoba 2024
The fusion of art and culture returns to the enchanting city of Córdoba as the 2nd International Watercolor Festival comes to life. Organized by Arte21online and IWS-Arte21online, this event promises an unforgettable experience for artists and art enthusiasts alike. From March 11th to 24th, 2024, the Baroque Courtyard of the Provincial Council of Córdoba will serve as the hub for a celebration dedicated to the beauty of watercolor.
Exploring the Festival
At the heart of the festival lies a unique exhibition where watercolor masterpieces by artists from around the world come to life. Yet, this is not just a passive display; it's a competition where artists can vie for exciting cash prizes and artistic materials.
In addition to the exhibition and contest, the festival offers masterful demonstrations led by renowned artists—a chance to learn and enhance watercolor skills. Plein air painting and cultural visits are also part of the experience, allowing participants to draw inspiration from the scenic beauty of Córdoba.
Who Can Participate?
The invitation is extended to artists aged 18 and above, regardless of background or experience. The theme is completely open, giving artists the freedom to express themselves fully. Each artist may submit a single original artwork in the specified size of 56 x 38 cm, either in horizontal or vertical format.
Participation Guidelines
To be part of this exciting artistic celebration, adhere to these participation guidelines:
Image Submission: Participants must send a high-resolution image of their artwork (already cropped at 300 dpi and not less than 3MB in JPG format) to the email address of IWS Arte21online: iws@arte21online.com.
File Naming: The image file should include the following information: Country_Name_Title_Size_Year of the artwork.jpg. This image will be used for the Festival's catalog, so it should meet acceptable quality standards.
Submission Method: Applications can be made individually by the artist or through the IWS Leader of each country. Leaders who submit a minimum of 6 artworks will be exempt from the participation fee.
No Digital Alterations: No digital alterations or changes to the photo are allowed. In case of poor quality or variations from the actual artwork, the organization reserves the right to reject the proposed piece.
Prizes and Recognitions
Recognition for creativity and talent is not far behind. Cash prizes await the winners: €1500 for the first place, €1000 for the second, and €500 for the third. But that's not all—12 prizes in watercolor artistic materials, sponsored by partners, are valued at approximately €550 each. The rewards for participation are truly enticing!
