WINSOR NEWTON Artisan water miscible oil colour has been specifically developed to give the same appearance and working properties as conventional oil colours. The main difference between Artisan and conventional oil colours is the ability of Artisan to be diluted and cleaned with water. When using Artisan oils, no hazardous solvents are needed and a safer painting environment can be enjoyed, making them an ideal product for artists who want to share work space, for schools and for painting at home.

Description

The exceptional characteristics of Artisan oil paint are the result of meticulous workmanship, proof of a unique painting material: a wonderful brilliance of every shade, a strong concentration of pigments and thus an excellent opacity, a supple and creamy texture, an excellent lightfastness. The drying time varies between 2 and 12 days.

Artisan oil colours are ideal for:

- Students and teachers of fine arts in establishments where the use of solvents is prohibited.

- Artists who are allergic to solvents or who share a studio with other artists: in fact, the concentration of fumes from several solvents is harmful and often causes unpleasant smells.

This special boxed set contains 10 37 ml (1.25 oz) tubes of the following colours: Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow Tone, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red Tone, Cerulean Blue Tone, French Ultramarine, Phthalo Green (blue tint), Yellow Ochre, Tan Shadow Earth and Titanium White. Also includes a 75ml (2.5 oz) bottle of water miscible linseed oil and 2 long-handled white bristle brushes.
