SENNELIER OIL Wooden case with 12 tubes

From 18887, Gustave Sennelier established himself as a colour dealer on Quai Voltaire in Paris. His passion for colour chemistry, his knowledge of pigments and his talents as a colourist gave birth to a palette of shades that quickly became a benchmark of quality among artists. Charles and then Henri succeeded him, the Maison Sennelier was the meeting place for well-known and developing Impressionist painters. The effervescence, experiences, technical and pictorial innovations were the prelude to the appearance of the oil painters of the 21st century. Today, with 144 extra-fine oil colours, the Sennelier reference palette is enriched with 50 new original shades. These colours, always so unctuous and luminous, present a paste with remarkable qualities, which is perfectly adapted to both classical and contemporary painting techniques. Sennelier renews its palette of shades under extreme exigency, rich of its experience and its collaboration with experienced and passionate painters of quality. As before, with respect for the profession and under the watchful eye of Dominique Sennelier, the same rigour is applied to the manufacture of the colours. Today, the extra-fine quality of 21st century oil-based colours has been redefined.
