The KUM Black Widow sharpener is ideal for highly porous and powdery leads such as pastel pencils. This sharpener has a unique removable tip former (red) that allows you to sharpen to a rounded point when in place, and when removed you can sharpen to a short sharp point.

This flexibility is great for pastel or other soft pencils were a rounder point is desired, while also allowing you to use the sharpener to achieve a sharper tip. The Black Widow is easy to hold with it’s ergonomic and unusual design, and the red tip former can be used to clean the sharpener without damaging the blade.

The Black Widow sharpener can also be used for cosmetic pencils. Note that this sharpener fits normal diameter pencils. Larger diameter pencils, such as Derwent pastels, may not fit.
